Location: City Botanic Gardens, Main Gate, Alice Street.
Hire of bicycles in the “Gardens” commences approx 9.00am until late afternoon or to dark depending on bikes still out. Hire charge is a minimum 1 hour and a security is required. No predetermined times are set for the return of the bike and charges are calculated when you arrive back. Brochures, directions and advice is given to all riders that you may enjoy your riding around Brisbane. You may pay “Hotel” rates and you can return the bicycle to your Hotel for collection by our “Valet” service .
Valet Service
- Delivered to and collected from your Hotel anytime by appointment.
- Modern Diamond Back 21 speed Mountain Bikes with Gel saddles.
- Fitted 600ml drink cage and mud guards and combination lock.
- Sanitised Cycle Helmet (Compulsory wear).
Hotel Hire Periods
- Morning only return to Hotel by 1.00pm.
- Afternoon from 1.00 returns to Hotel by 6.00pm.
- Evening from 6.00 onwards. (Collecting next morning).
Valet Service Scale of Charges
- Any one hire period $35
- Two consecutive hire periods $45
- All day and evening with lights $60
- Two days no lights $70, with lights, compulsory for night use $80.
- Children, 4 to 14 years 20% off adult rate.
- Baby or small child seat to 20 kilo capacity $10 day.
- Corporate Rate, on request for multi day hire.
Equipment available for delivery
- Ladies cycles standard sizes with baskets.
- Men's cycles in small, medium and large.
- Smaller adult style cycles (24” wheels).
- Children's cycles and trailer bikes (4 to 7 yrs).
- Child seats $10 per hire period or per day.
- Maps and guides for short and long rides. Free.
- Cold drinks and rain “Ponchos”.
Please Note: Tandems are not available for delivery to Hotels
Hotel Delivery, Payment will be required in advance and a surety may be requested. Bookings should be made directly by email, fax or phone with hotel name and room number, a time will be agreed for delivery and all riders must be present to be given the correct size bike and helmet and sign the “accident waiver” form. Assistance will be given on familiarity of the bicycle, riding conditions and suggested rides depending on your requirements, fitness and experience. So it is expected that all riders will be available in the hotel lobby at the agreed time of cycle delivery and also that cycles will be available for our collection from the hotel concierge or other staff at the agreed time of hire conclusion. Hire times can be extended by request at any time during the hire but at least one hour before the agreed finishing time. Day hire cycles are not fitted with lights, but can be fitted to most bikes on request for night cycling. Lights are compulsory for night time usage and it is a traffic requirement enforced by the police.
